Dinner should be the time of day when the family gathers around the table, relaxes and talks about their day, but with people getting busier and busier, it’s become increasingly difficult make a simple dinner successful, so we thought about providing you with a few quick and easy dinner recipes. The most important thing is to choose recipes that don’t require too much time. When you start cooking, take your time, it’s never a good idea to be in a hurry around open fire and boiling liquids. Have all your ingredients and appliances ready and in a half an hour you should be able to finish a delicious meal for you and your family. Here are some great recipe ideas:
10. Pasta with Chicken and Fresh Tomato Sauce
Cook the pasta in some salted water. Cut the chicken in bite-size pieces and gently toss them around in some olive oil with salt and pepper until they’re cooked. Prepare the sauce from fresh tomatoes (make sure you peel the tomatoes) – cut the tomatoes, add them in a pan with some salt, pepper, a little bit of water and let them simmer for 10 minutes. At the end, add the fresh basil, the chicken and the pasta and let them simmer for another 2 minutes or so.
9. Crispy Chicken with Bell Peppers and Garlic Sauce
Cook the pieces of chicken in a pan with just a little bit of oil – let them cook really well until they get a nice golden crust. Add some salt, pepper and thyme when they’re halfway done. In a separate pan put a little bit of olive oil and gently fry the bell peppers – don’t put too much oil or they’ll become soggy. When they’re almost done, add 4 cloves of garlic and a little bit of chicken stock. Let them simmer for 10 minutes and you’ve got yourself a quick and easy dinner idea!
8. Tasty Pizza with Sprout Salad
The best thing about pizza is that you can make it with pretty much anything you would like. Choose the toppings you love (too much on the crust and it’ll be a disaster, keep it simple, 3-4 ingredients maximum) and prepare the salad. Tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and cumin sprouts will make for an excellent salad.
7. Oven-roasted Potatoes with Pork and Tomato Salad
Boil the potatoes for about 5 minutes them drain them and toss them around so that they mash a little bit together. Put them on a cooking sheet, drizzle them with olive oil, paprika, salt and pepper and put them in the oven on high temperature for about 15 minutes. In the meantime prepare the pork steak and the tomato salad. It’s easy!
6. Lamb Curry with Yogurt Sauce
The secret to making this dish a fast one is to cut the lamb in little chunks and have all the ingredients close to you. Cook the lamb for 5-10 minutes then add the spices in the same pot – some fennel seeds, garam masala, a pinch of turmeric and some bay leaves. Add some water or stock and the vegetables and let it simmer for 20 minutes. It really is a quick and easy dinner idea!
5. Oven Sausages with Zucchini Salad
Line a baking tray with cooking paper and place the sausages on it. Use a toothpick to make little holes in them so that they don’t explode from the heat. Let them cook on low heat for about 20 minutes. A zucchini salad is perfect for this dish. Marinate the zucchini slices for about 10 minutes so that they’ll taste yummy.

Cut the potatoes in small chunks (about the size of peas) and fry them. Add some onion and one garlic clove and when they’re done put in the eggs and fry them on one side then turn the whole thing over. Sprinkle with some chopped dill and it’s heaven!

Risotto is a spoiled brat – you need to stand by it and make sure it doesn’t stick to the pan. Add the spinach towards the end to make sure it stays green and yummy. Make a simple vinaigrette for the kale salad with three parts olive oil, one part vinegar and one teaspoon of Dijon mustard.

Lentil soup is awesome! Boil the lentils in advance and discard the water. In a pan, heat some oil and add the onion and garlic, fry them and then add the herbs and spices: some oregano, basil and thyme, garam masala, cumin, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper and toss them around for 30 seconds. Add the lentils, water and some vegetables of your choice and simmer for 15 minutes.

The secret to making a piece of chicken juicy is to flip it over many times in the cooking process and to always be by its side. The mustard sauce is best made with Dijon mustard – fry a little bit of onion and garlic, add two tablespoons of Dijon and let it simmer for 5 minutes until it thickens, if you want it really thick feel free to add a teaspoon of flour.
