Yesterday we showed you our favorite 2014 Emmy moments. It was a personal selection of the most inspiring, funny and unexpected moments that happened at the most prestigious festivity that celebrates American TV series. We loved how Bryan Cranston made out with our favorite Seinfeld diva, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and we enjoyed every bit of Billy Crystal’s heartfelt speech about his late friend, the great Robin Williams. Now we want to show you what the stars wore on the red carpet. The glamour, the style and the elegance. Here is our top 10 best dresses at the Emmy 2014. Enjoy.
10. Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum looked more than amazing on the red carpet in her Zac Posen dress. The color matched her complexion perfectly and that draping…spectacular. We loved how the dress made the super model look about 10 feet tall. 10 feet of sheer elegance, we mean. Good job Heidi!
9. Octavia Spencer – Best Dresses at the Emmy 2014
This talented actress seems to love wearing Tadashi Shoji’s creations because this is not the first time she chose to wear one at the 2014 Emmy Awards. This designer’s creations look perfect on Octavia and those fabrics create a visual interest. We also loved the earrings she chose to match her dress. Ms. Spencer you get an A from us because you looked superb.
8. Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Julia won an Emmy for her performance in Veep and she should get one for looking amazing on the red carpet. The Seinfeld star chose a Carolina Herrera column dress that showcased all her best features. That thin belt really defined her narrow part. The color really matched her skin tone and we give her a standing ovation because she looks beautiful.
7. Allison Williams – Best Dresses at the Emmy 2014
The 26-year-old actress looked like a fairy tale princess in her Giambattista Valli dress. The extra touches like the black bow and the pinkish bodice really made a difference and it added a different feel to the gown.
6. Sarah Silverman
Not only this actress is super talented and extremely funny, she also knows how to choose and wear a dress. For this year’s Emmy awards she chose a Marni dress with a deep cleavage and a special embellished belt. We love that she chose a darker color that matches her raven hair. Sarah also won an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special for her HBO standup special called We are Miracles. Congrats Sarah!
5. Kate Mara – Best Dresses at the Emmy 2014
The beautiful Kate Mara shone in her J. Mendel asymmetrical gown. We adore the embellishments around the neckline and the cut-outs up top. Her dress was truly inspired along with the black and white clam purse.
4. Julia Roberts
Such a lovely pair of legs deserved a lovely attire as the one Julia chose to wear at the 2014 Emmy ceremony. It’s stood out not only because of its length but also because of those beads and the plunging neckline. Julia you get an A+ from us. You truly deserve it.
3. Michelle Monaghan
Michelle wore a Giambattista Valli simple white dress and proved that less is always more. The minimalist approach gives it a super sexy feel and the high-slit manages to still keep it edgy. The 40’s starlet hairdo really fits her and that little purse was the cherry on top. Nicely done Michelle!
2. Kristen Wiig
It’s not very easy to wear silk charmeuse but Kristen has the body to pull it off. She manages to look comfortable, sexy and elegant at the same time. That hot neckline and that wild hair really made her look like she was owning it. And she did.
1. Lizzy Caplan – Best Dresses at the Emmy 2014
Lizzy’s dress made it on every fashion top. Everyone is talking about it. This Donna Karan dramatic gown made her look extremely elegant and otherworldly at the same time. We loved the surprising white tail that gave this grandiose dress a twisty twist.
