Picture this situation and tell us if you find yourself in it: long weekends in a row you spend in your pajamas watching all possible TV series, getting a little panic thinking that your social life would suffered because of them. The only consolation you have is that watching at least a few episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Wife, Sex and the City, Gilmore Girls and Downtown Abbey with your female friends was all worth it. You probably even tried to convince your boyfriend at least once that he should give a chance to Carrie and Mr. Big, Meredith and Derek or Lorelai and Rory.

So, instead of you trying to get your boyfriend to watch hospital romances, we’ve compiled a top of the ten most appropriate TV series you can watch with your boyfriend, that both of you will enjoy. Juicy love stories have to be watched with your friends.

1. Californication

A writer tries to divide his life between his career, the relationship with his daughter and ex-girlfriend and his attraction to beautiful women.

Californication was created by Tom Kapinos. The protagonist, Hank Moody (David Duchovny) is a troubled novelist who moves to California and has writer’s blockage and manages to complicates his relationship with Karen, his concubine, and his daughter Becca.

Parties, alcohol, drugs and one night stands are becoming a reflex for Hank, and although many believe that this is a self-destructive lifestyle, this often inspires our frustrated and desperate writer. Hank is the kind of man who after learning that his car is stolen, he lights a cigarette. Courtesy and common sense are two completely unknown terms to Hank. A comedy with humor, frustration, despair sex and a leading Golden Globe Award winner actor.

2. New Girl

Schmidt, Nick and Winston are the roommates (crazy and hilarious) of adorable Jess. The leading role is played by Zooey Deschanel. Jess Day is a teacher of almost 30 years, very nice, but without much luck in love. After her last failed relationship, she moves in with the three boys.

3. 30 Rock

Liz Lemon, screenwriter of the comedy “The Girlie Show” makes another successful show. However she has to work again with a very arrogant chief interpreter by the main character, a little guy out of his mind. And to be able to make the show successful she must not lose composure. But can she? Is there someone who doesn’t love Fey and Alec Baldwin after seeing this absolutely funny TV series about the demonic work behind a TV show?

4. Suits

In a world where corruption is at the highest level, their job is to put things in order. A series about lawyers, about the desire to succeed and become someone in a society where money is power.

The series tells the story of Mike Ross, a drug dealer who, while hiding from law enforcement officers, enters the room where the famous lawyer Harvey Specter tried to recruit a new member. Mike is a very smart young man, with a different view of things, exactly the qualities that Harvey needed. From drug dealer, Mike becomes the right hand the best lawyer in New York.

5. Modern Family

Three families which could not be more different, a Sofía Vergara giving a great perfomance and a lot of laughs. Guaranteed!

6. House of Lies

If you missed Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell, we have some good news – the two are the protagonists of this series about a little unorthodox consulting firm.

7. Homeland

Homeland is an American television series created by Howard Gordon and Alex Gans based on the Israeli series Hatufim developed by Gideon Raff.

The main character is Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) a CIA agent who came to believe that a Marine being held captive by Al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war was turned by the enemies against the United States and is now a threat.

8. The Big Bang Theory

Penny is the neighbor of Leonard and Sheldon, two nerds who often wake up in the middle of completely hilarious situations.

9. 2 Broke Girls

2 Broke Girls is as a classic American sitcom. Max (Kat Dennings), a young waitress meets her new roommate Caroline, a former elite Upper East Side girl, who’s gone bankrupt, after her father was put behind bars because of a scam. Left homeless, abandoned by friends, Caroline becomes Max’s roommate, each binding to a unique friendship and dreaming of having a business together.

10. Shameless

Meet the Gallagher family: Frank Gallagher, alcoholic father who lives under the constant care of his six children.
