We use apps every single day and while most of us have a few favorite ones, others have dozens. You can tell a lot about a person by taking a look at the apps that they use the most often. The trouble with apps is that they pop up like mushrooms after the rain and you can have a hard time sifting through them and deciding which one is good for you. Well, today you’re in luck, because whether you’re passionate about apps or not, we’ve got the 10 best and most popular iPhone apps in the market today. Read on and head over the iTunes store if any of them catch your eye.
10. Kim Kardashian: Hollywood
We know that when it comes to Kim Kardashian, you either tolerate her or you hate her, but regardless of your opinion about her, her app/game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood was one of the most popular games. Why did this happen? Well, because Kim Kardashian is a popular person and lots of people were merely curious about the game. We don’t think this silly game will stand the test of time, though.
9. VSCO Cam
VSCO Cam is the best camera app to ever hit the iTunes Store. It’s a camera app that will take a while to learn how to handle and use, but once you do it, your pictures will turn our splendidly. There is also a very large and awesome community, where you could post your pictures and search for inspiration. Once again, it takes a while to master this app, so have a little patience.
8. Sleep Better
Sleep Better is so much more than just a smart alarm clock, it’s a very complex sleep cycle tracker made by Runtastic. Keep your iPhone by your bed when you go to sleep and leave the app running. It picks up on your movement during sleep and collects data about how often you move, turn or get out of bed. It will also wake you up gradually, which is something almost everyone needs in the morning.
7. Plane Finder
Plane Finder is an app that will show you all the planes that are above you at any given time. See a plane on the sky? Point your iPhone at it and you’ll find out where that plane is heading, the flight number, the airline and what type of aircraft it is. How awesome is that?! Imagine if we had this thing when we were kids!
6. Humin
Humin is an excellent tool that helps you search your contacts smartly. The more you use it, the more it learns about what you want to search for and how you perform your search. Let’s say you’ve met someone a couple of days ago and don’t know how to search for their number in your contacts list. Well, with Humin you can just search: person I’ve met a couple of days ago or person who works as a teacher. Amazing, we know!
5. Hyperlapse
Hyperlapse was launched by Instagram before an iOS 8 update that allowed your iPhone to shoot timelapse without the need for any additional apps. Indeed, the timelapse feature on your iPhone is pretty awesome, but we have to admit that Hyperlapse is better. It gives you more control over your timelapse, including the speed of your timelapse, which iOS doesn’t. Bottom line: if you want a timelapse app, Hyperlapse is the best.
4. 2048
2048 was the game everyone was talking about today. It’s a very addictive game that is both entertaining and annoying at the same time. The ad version is free, so go ahead and download it if you don’t know what we’re talking about. Have you reached 2048 yet, or did you give up on it?
3. Smash Hit
Smash Hit costs just $1.99 and it will entertain you more than your friends do at certain times. It is a brilliant game, where you get to shoot balls at things that break. Go through various mazes and contraptions, and don’t forget to smash things. It’s an absolute joy to play this game and we believe that it’s going to take off even more in 2015.
2. Secret
Secret was launched at the beginning of 2018 and it’s been the app on everybody’s lips since then. With Secret, users posts their secrets anonymously; you can see the secret, but you can’t see what friends posted it. You can only see if the secret came from somewhere nearby, or if it was from someone you actually know, without revealing their identity, of course.
1. Swype
Android has had this type of keyboard customization for ages and it finally came to the iPhone. With the introduction of iOS 8, you can now swype your keyboard and type much faster! You just swipe your fingers over the letters, without raising them, and Swype does the rest. It’s a pretty cool app and you should try it!
