So many people love winter holidays, Christmas and everything that comes with it, but there are a lucky few who get to enjoy this time even more, because they were born on Christmas day. Did you know that Humphrey Bogart was born on Christmas day? Another thing you didn’t know about Christmas! We thought of making a list of some famous people who were born on Christmas day, so you know some of the lucky guys and gals!
10. Jimmy Buffett
Jimmy Buffett is an American singer (actor and author) who is widely known for his island escapism existence. Two facts about him: his biggest hit is Margaritaville and his fans call themselves Parrotheads. He has a chain of restaurants called Margaritaville Café and is a fun guy, who loves life. He was born on Christmas day, 1946.
9. Cab Calloway
Born on Christmas day, 1907, Cab Calloway was a jazz singer who was active in Harlem, New York City. He was famous for his scat singing and his band featured, among others, two legends: Dizzy Gillespie and Doc Cheatham. He died at the age of 86 and he performed until that age. That’s love and dedication for the arts!
8. Sissy Spacek
Sissy Spacek won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the Coal Miner’s Daughter and she is one of the most prolific American actresses. She’s probably best known for her role as Carrie White in 1976’s Carrie, the movie based on Stephen King’s first novel. She was and still is quite a beautiful lady.
7. Evelyn Nesbit
Evelyn Nesbit was the Angelina Jolie of the earliest 20th century. Her face was everywhere: in movies, newspapers, ads, calendars and even souvenirs. Everyone know who she was! She was a model and a singer whose lover was shot by her husband on the rooftop of Madison Square Garden. And you thought that the scandals these days take the top!

Everyone who is over 25 knows Dido from when she rose to fame with Stan – her duet with Eminem that gave us that chilling video about Eminem’s freaky fan. Her debut album was a smash hit, selling over 21 million copies worldwide. She is British and her two albums are in the top best-selling albums in UK history. Just thinking of her makes you want to go over on Youtube and listen to Thank You, doesn’t it?
5. Helena Christensen
If you have a hard time placing Helena Christensen we’ve only got two words for you: Wicked Games. Yes, she is that incredible beauty who appeared in Chris Isaak’s black and white video; a video that sums up the 90’s. She is a fashion model, former Victoria’s Secret Angel, philanthropist and she is another famous person born on Christmas day (1968).
4. Annie Lennox
She is the heart and soul of Eurythmics and is the most awarded female artists at the Brit Awards. She also earned the title of most successful female British artist in the United Kingdom, selling over 80 million records worldwide and also the greatest while soul singer alive by music channel VH1. She was born on December 25th, 1954.
3. Humphrey Bogart
Need we even make an attempt at summarizing Mr. Bogart in just a few lines? All we’re going to say is that was declared the greatest male star in the history of American cinema by the American Film institute. He earned one Academy Award, for his role in The African Queen (1951) and he appeared in 75 films throughout his career. He was born on Christmas Day 1899.
2. Sir Isaac Newton
Way back in the day (and by back in the day, we mean 1642) a man was born on 25 December. He would be a physicist and mathematician, a key figure in the scientific revolution. If that still doesn’t ring a bell think about the principle of gravity and the apple. Yes, that’s him: coming up with gravity while sitting under an apple tree!
