Born on Christmas day, 1907, Cab Calloway was a jazz singer who was active in Harlem, New York City. He was famous for his scat singing and his band featured, among others, two legends: Dizzy Gillespie and Doc Cheatham. He died at the age of 86 and he performed until that age. That’s love and dedication for the arts!

Sissy Spacek won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the Coal Miner’s Daughter and she is one of the most prolific American actresses. He earned one Academy Award, for his role in The African Queen (1951) and he appeared in 75 films throughout his career. He was born on Christmas Day 1899.

Way back in the day (and by back in the day, we mean 1642) a man was born on 25 December. He would be a physicist and mathematician, a key figure in the scientific revolution.
