If you love video games as much as we do, then you are going to love these ten selections. Here are ten best PC games to play until Christmas or whenever you feel like it.

1. GRAND THEFT AUTO V

Could have Grand Theft Auto V be missing from the top? The fifth title in the GTA series promises the most comprehensive open world game ever made by Rockstar Games studios: the whole Los Santos (virtual replica Los Angeles) and its surroundings are created in detail. Also, for the first time in a game, the story of GTA V has no less than three main characters, the player is free to switch between heroes at will.

2. THE LAST OF U.S.

Through The Last of Us, the team at Naughty Dog (Uncharted series authors) aims to combine a strong story with typical survival horror game mechanics. The action takes place in a world fallen prey to infections transmitted through ants and heroes Joel and Ellie are forced to work together to hope for survival. Producers boast some of the most elaborate artificial intelligence routines, enemies reacting according to the players’ speech.

3. BIOSHOCK INFINITE

After the producing team experienced personnel changes, dropping the multiplayer component of the game, BioShock Infinite was finally on the right track. Players have the opportunity to get inside a former agent, forced to travel to the city of Columbia to save a girl with psychic powers.

4. STARCRAFT II: HEART OF THE SWARM

If you’re a fan of strategy games, the StarCraft name should not be foreign to you. Heart of the Swarm continues the story of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, this time in the foreground with Sarah Kerrigan and the zerg troops.

5. TOMB RAIDER

The new Tomb Raider has a multiplayer component developed by Eidos Montreal studio. However, we are curious about the single player campaign and heroine Lara Croft origins story.

6. COMPANY OF HEROES 2

Company of Heroes 2 marks the return of real time strategy games, action are held on the Eastern Front of the Second World War. Players have the opportunity to control the Red Army, with which they have to repel the attacks of the Nazis at the gates of Moscow. The game is based on the Essence 3.0 graphics engine capable of rendering realistic battlefields, which will be completely destroyed.

7. METRO: LAST LIGHT

After the success enjoyed by Metro 2033, main hero Artyom is back for a new round of hunting mutants in the Moscow subways. Like its predecessor, Metro: Last Light promises an enviable graphical aspect and a story in collaboration with Dmitry Glukhovsky, author of the novel Metro 2033. For Last Light, manufacturers have refined some game mechanics (such as the stealth) and brought important news (like open world levels).

8. DEAD SPACE 3

The Necromorphs are not being defeated so Isaac Clarke is again at the forefront of the war against bloodthirsty aliens. This time, however, the hero of the series Dead Space does not have to face waves of enemies by himself. Dead Space 3 allows a cooperative approach, in this game mode being added new elements to the story and new cinematic sequences.

9. GOD OF WAR: ASCENSION

God of War: Ascension will probably be the last adventure of tireless Spartan Kratos on current generation consoles from Sony (PS3). Aside from the single player story (another prequel to the events of the main games in the series), Ascension is the first God of War title which incorporates a multiplayer component. Players can choose between Troy and Sparta armies cities and between four gods of Greek mythology (Zeus, Ares, Hades and Poseidon), each with their own bonuses and abilities.

10. ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES

While Isaac Clarke is busy with the necromophs, Aliens: Colonial Marines proposes a recipe somehow more familiar: the fight against classical alien xenomorphs. Do not miss the single player campaign that continues the story based on the film series Aliens, and also the extensive multiplayer component.
