The animal kingdom is vast and full of magnificent species, from microscopic sea creatures to terrestrial giants. These animals are beautiful, wild and some of them extremely dangerous. The laws of nature are cruel and only the strong ones survive. We have showed you a list of the deadliest reptiles in the world and now it’s time to move underwater and share with you 10 deadly sea creatures that are dangerous to humans. They bite, they sting and some of them are extremely poisonous. Some of are very beautiful while others are plain scary. Here they are:

Don’t be fooled by the beautiful colors of this fish. Its caudal spine is very venomous and should be handled with care. There are over 1,200 species of venomous fish in the waters and it’s believed that there are about 50,000 people injured by these dangerous fish every year. The good news is that the venom collected from these deadly sea creatures is useful for developing new medical drugs.

This strange creature may be mistaken for a beautiful sea flower but the yellow anemone is actually a very dangerous marine creature. If you ever go swimming in the tropical reefs make sure you watch them from a distance.

7. The Moray Eeel

On our list of deadly sea creatures, the Moray eel is also one of the scariest. It lives in the waters of Kona, Hawaii and it possesses 2 sets of teeth:  a normal jaw and a second set of teeth in the eel’s throat that actually comes out of its mouth to grab the prey. This  helps the eel catch large fish without opening its mouth wide.

6. Indonesian Needlefish

The needlefish usually lives near the surface of tropical waters. But they can jump out of the water and become very dangerous, acting like flying knives. People have been seriously injured by this fish’s sharp jaws, with night fishermen usually being at risk because the lights can attract the needlefish, making it jump out of the water.

5. Oyster Toadfish

Another scary-looking sea creature is the oyster toadfish. It has a very big head and a powerful large mouth that crushes the tough mollusk shells. Their favorite menu includes oysters, shrimp, crabs and fish. An interesting fact about this fish is that they guard their nests and watch over their young in the first weeks of their life.

4. Textile Cone Snail
