It’s cold, it’s snowing (at least in some parts of the world), it’s almost Christmas, but we simply cannot forget about fashion. And since women need time to prepare, here are ten hottest fashion trends for spring-summer 2014.

1. Do not give up short tops

Short tops that have studded summer catwalks of all designers are not going anywhere. Combine a short top with a pair of pants or a skirt with high waist that will not reveal too much skin. You must, however, remember that this trend can easily be worn in your free time, but it is not a suitable outfit for work.

2. Keep your bomber jacket

Consider this jacket a must for each season. It would be better to diversify your choices opting for bolder prints, new textures that will get you out from the crowd. But beware: it’s not necessary to adopt full sport outfits – Marni showed us that to get a sexy look, you can very well combine a bomber jacket with a midi skirt.

3. Do not be afraid to try this kind of shoes

This model of shoes is back into the attention of designers, this time with a change: high heel get to accentuate femininity. They will look great with a sport skirt or casual pants.

4. Yellow, star of spring

Surprised on famous catwalk at Prada gigs, Roksanda Ilincic or Jen Kao, the color yellow will clearly become a must for the next spring. The secret behind a successful look that is based on this idea is finding the right shade appropriate for your skin, lighter style approach, or by choosing an accessory that should stand out.

5. Do not avoid sports logos

This season sports logos were very present on any item of clothing from shirts, pants and dresses with accents more or less classical. We saw also accessories, but we were fascinated with the Alexander Wang gauntlets. You should however note that they have an elements that make an outfit stand out from the crowd and this is why you should not overdo it by combining them with something very “out there”.

6. Wear transparent clothing

There are lots of ways in which you can look extremely well in these see -through clothing items. Just dare! If you do not feel quite comfortable in choosing a dress with transparent parts, you can opt for a jacket with mesh sleeves.

7. Do not forget bermuda – shorts

Although fashion seems to focus for the moment only on very short and light pants, casual trends for 2014 prove otherwise. Bermuda style pants are back to the attention of the greatest designers, so we advise you to accessorize them with high heeled stilettos because they will elongate your figure. They are perfect for an evening outfit if they are made from a fluid fabric, just like the one in the above image.

8. Slip dress

Richard Chai shows us how to wear it over pants, while Jason Wu and Max Mara chose it for an evening outfit. In any case, this kind of dress is a vital element for the new trends in the 2014 spring-summer. We do not advise you just to opt for your mother’s old dress, for new designs with bold colors you can put you more in value.

9. Hawaiian prints

When we say Hawaiian prints, we are not talking about your dad’s old shirts, who still insists on wearing them every holiday. Brands like J.Crew and Michael Kors have transformed this vintage print and combined it with luxury materials. You can dare this spring to combine several models.

10. Latin American style

Hispanic and Latin American influences were included in many collections and are a major trend for 2014 spring. It is very important that the idea of makeup and hairstyle to be in tune with your outfit, so we think red lips, braids and a Frida Khalo type of manicure worked very carefully are a must in the 2014spring-summer season.

What do you think about the new fashion trends for next year? Is there something you simply cannot see yourself wearing?
