10. Olive Oil
Olive oil is one of the best natural remedies for dry hair. It’s rich antioxidants and vitamin E that help prevent our hair from damaging by sealing the cuticle (outer layer) with moisture. You can use olive oil to strengthen, restore the natural moisture and add shine to dry, deteriorated hair. Apply warm olive oil all over your hair and scalp and massage it in for about 10 minutes. Cover your hair and leave it overnight. Shampoo your hair in the morning with your usual products.

Apart from making our salads taste delicious, mayonnaise is also a great natural remedy for dry hair. Why is that? Because it contains a lot of proteins that help damaged hair look shiny and soft to the touch. Take one cup of full fat mayo and apply it in thick layers on your damp hair and scalp. Mix ½ cup of aloe gel with 2 teaspoons of castor oil, 2 teaspoons of fenugreek and 1 teaspoon of powdered basil. Apply the mixture on your hair and leave it on overnight. Wash your hair in the morning with your usual shampoo.

Sesame oil is full of nutrients and emollient properties. It can reduce the dryness of the hair, healing the outer layer of the hair. Sesame oil is also a very efficient antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral which will help prevent hair loss. Mix 2 teaspoons of sesame oil with grated ginger and massage it into the scalp for about 10 minutes. Leave it on for another 10, then shampoo your hair.

Vinegar removes any residues from shampoos and other hair products and helps restore the natural pH of the scalp. Vinegar is also great against dandruff and itchy scalp. Mix ½ cup of vinegar with 1 cup of water. Use this to rinse your hair after you wash it. Leave it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing again.
