The top awesome cars of all time were made by famous companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar, Chevrolet and others. 1. Mercedes-Benz 500K Cabriolet

Our top begins with the Mercedes-Benz 500K, which was built between 1934 and 1936. One of the great touring cars of its time, this model is highly prized nowadays. For instance, back in 2007, the 500K of Bernie Ecclestone was auctioned for about £700,000, which is almost $1.45 million.
2. Talbot Lago T150
Year: 1938
Country: France
A French automobile manufacturer, Talbot was headquartered in Suresnes, Hauts de Seine, just outside of Paris, France. In 1925 the company was bought by Italian Antonio Lago who arrived all the way from Venice and added his own name to the title. Lago managed to design one of the top awesome cars of all time, the Talbot Lago T150. Its six cylinder engine made it great for racing, while its bodies were created by the likes of Saoutchik, Figoni and Falaschi.
3. Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic
Year: 1938
Country: France
It was Jean Bugatti who designed this unique model named Bugatti 57 and the later variants, Atalante and Atlantic. One of the best-known cars from the company, it featured mesh grilles on both sides and a dip in the form of a V at the radiator’s bottom. It was a low type of car, since the S stands for “surbaissé”, which means “lowered” in French. Bugatti built only 43 models of this type.
4. Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing

The next one of the awesome cars of all time on our list received its name from its wing like doors. The effect was visible when the doors stood open. It was created by Daimler-Benz AG and sold between 1955 and 1957. The model could reach the fastest top speed during its time and featured the first consumer fuel-injection system in history. Today, collectors have to pay between $700,000 and $1,000,000 to add one to their collection.
5. Aston Martin DBR2

Created in 1957, the Aston Martin DBR2 had a racing motor and a classy design. One of the top awesome cars of all time belonged to the Aston Martin Lagonda company, which was founded by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin in 1913.
6. Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

Country: Italy
Ferrari built this type of car between 1956 and 1961, naming it “Testa Rossa” or “Red Head”. It was a limited edition, and only thirty-four lucky people got their hands on one of them. A later model the 250TR was manufactured in 1957 and 1958. However, Ferrari built it as a limited edition with only 19 customer cars and two factory cars. Today, the model is valued at $16,400,000, as one of them was sold in August 2011 for this sum of money.
7. Jaguar E-Type

This British sports car definitely belongs among the top awesome cars of all time. Jaguar E-Type was manufactured in the 1960s until production stopped in 1971, becoming an icon of its time. Enzo Ferrari himself named it the most beautiful car. The Museum of Modern Art in New York has acquired one of these in 1996, adding it to its selective personal collection.
8. Chevrolet Corvette C1

General Motors division Chevrolet introduced its first line of sports cars in 1953, with the Chevrolet Corvette C. However, the model started being manufactured only nine years later, in 1962. The car was intended as a concept vehicle due to its boat-tail design and specific four taillights. And so it has remained until today.
9. Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale

The term “Stradale” refers to heavily modified sports cars that become thus legal to use on the streets. One of the top awesome cars of all time, this Alfa Romeo model was introduced in 1967 during the Sport Car Show that took place in Monza, Italy. Only eighteen cars were produced at the highest price on the market in 1968: $17,000. Now who wouldn’t want to drive a race-looking car through the city?
10. Austin-Healey 3000

Largely popular thanks to the James Bond movies, Austin-Healey 3000 is a sports car produced in the United Kingdom. Even today many enthusiastic racers are still driving it, seeing that it won many European rallies during its golden times.
