There really isn’t a universal secret to looking younger – you could try some age spot removal and change your make up and look and feel younger. Because that’s what it really boils down to, feeling and looking younger – you’re not really getting any younger. The most important thing you can do is take good care of yourself, of your skin and embrace the fact that you’re getting older. There are many tricks and tips you can use to look and feel younger and we’re here to present to you 10 of them – if you choose to follow some of them, we’re sure you’ll feel better about yourself. It’s not hard, read on and find out!

10. A Smiling Face is a Young Face

It may sound like an age-old cliché, but it really is true: if you smile you will look younger. A frown will add a few years on your face. So we’re not going to tell you to turn that frown upside down, because it’s cheesy, but do smile. Smile like you mean it!

9. The Clothes Make the Person

The trick with clothes is to choose something that is age appropriate. If you want to look younger a little young outfit will not do the trick, it will only make you look like an old person trying hard to look young. Stick to clothes that complement your figure. Don’t wear something just because young people are wearing it.

8. Good Makeup Will Make All the Difference

Less is more when it comes to makeup. Red lipstick is awesome, but if you have some heavy eye makeup, stick to a nude color. The more makeup you wear the older you will look and covering your wrinkles with foundation is the worst thing you could do.

7. Your Hands Tell Your Story

You hand will always betray your age. They get old and there’s pretty much nothing you can do about it. Or is it? You could try to protect your skin with a SPF hand cream – it will help to prevent getting those horrible liver spots – they are actually sun spots and have nothing to do with your liver.

6. Keep Those Pearly Whites White

Having white teeth and a nice smile is the first step to looking young, really. Take care of your teeth the best you can and always make sure you go to the dentist’s twice a year for a check-up. Once your teeth start going, it’s only downhill from there.

5. Age Spot Removal

Sun spots on the face, neck and back will make you look a lot older than you are. If you have any and would like to get rid of them, there’s an easy way to do it. You can try a home remedy and use lemon juice for once a day for two weeks or some laser treatment as age spot removal.

4. It’s a Hairy Situation

If you can rock the grey hair, kudos to you, but there aren’t many women who can do that. Grey hair will age you more than anything else, so make a visit to your local salon and dye it a natural color that is as close to your original hair color.

3. Sunscreen’s Man Best Friend

We cannot stress the importance of sunscreen enough. It will literally help you keep your skin younger and better looking. Choose a moisturizer with SPF or simply use an SPF cream as a basis. Sunscreen is not only for the summer days, it should be worn in the spring, fall and winter too.

2. Kick the Habit

Smoking will not only cause cancer, heart disease and many other illnesses, but it also causes the skin to age prematurely. There is literally no way you could be smoking and still have good skin. So, quit those cigarettes while it’s not too late.

1. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

The most important thing you could do to keep your skin supple and young looking is to hydrate it. The outer layers of your skin need to be hydrated so that the free radicals don’t affect it so much. Feed your skin so that it continues to do what it does best, protect you!
