Incredible Uses for Vinegar

We use it in salad, sauces and perhaps to clean the windows. But did you know that you can use vinegar in other parts of the household as well? Here are 15 incredible uses for vinegar.

1. It cleans the coffee maker

Mix two cups of water with a cup of undiluted vinegar and put the solution obtained in the coffee maker. Start it and repeat the process two or three times before you make fresh coffee.

2. It disinfects kitchen sponges

Overnight, keep the dish sponge in a bowl where you put some vinegar. Then let it dry before use. The same trick works with bath sponges.

3. It cleans the trails of wax crayons

If your kids have painted the walls with wax crayons, all things can be solved with vinegar. Dip a toothbrush in undiluted vinegar and rub the soiled area. It will work wonders.

4. It cleans traces of stone

If the vase remained stained, vinegar saves you once again. Drip undiluted vinegar over the traces of stone and cover the vase with a cloth and leave it like that overnight. The next day rinse well with warm water.

You can also clean traces of stone from the taps, wrapping a few paper towels soaked in vinegar around them. You can do the same with the shower or knob. Let the vinegar act for ten minutes then rinse.

5. It removes chewing gum
